The most reliable format is a PDF exported from your CAD software at the final sheet size and correct scale — that way the print stays true to your design. We also accept PLT, DWG, DXF, and TIFF files. Either way, we check every file before printing to verify scale, line weights, and sheet integrity.

Blueprint copying is the traditional name for duplicating plans: drawings were once reproduced by exposing light-sensitive paper through a transparent original. Today the work is fully digital — we scan the plan and reprint it on a plotter — but the old name has stuck around the industry. When you ask us for blueprint copies, you get plan scanning plus precise prints of as many copies as you need.

It depends on where they're going: planning committees usually require several submission sets per their guidelines, and on site it's standard to keep separate copies for the contractor, the supervisor, and the consultants. It's worth confirming the exact requirements with the receiving party. We print multi-copy sets, sorted and folded, so every set arrives ready to hand over.

For many working drawings, black & white is enough — and more economical. Color matters when the plan relies on color coding: system markings, coordination layers, maps, and renderings. If a color plan is printed in monochrome, the lines need to stay distinguishable in grayscale — and that's one of the things we check before printing.
